About the Company
L&G Clean Water UCITS ETF is an exchange-traded fund that tracks the Solactive Clean Water Index NTR, providing targeted exposure to the global clean water industry. Its primary function is to invest in a diversified portfolio of equity securities from companies actively engaged in clean water technologies, digital solutions, engineering, and utilities, addressing the growing challenges of water scarcity and demand projected to outstrip supply by 40% by 2030. Notable features include a modified equal-weighting methodology across 35-55 holdings, typically 75% small and mid-cap stocks, with top holdings like Metso Corp, CECO Environmental Corp, and Flowserve Corp representing about 22.7% of assets, spanning sectors such as industrials (66.42%), utilities (16.15%), and basic materials (7.83%). Geographically diverse, it includes companies from the United States, Japan, Finland, Switzerland, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. Launched in July 2019 and domiciled in Ireland, the ETF manages around 580 million euros in assets with a low total expense ratio of 0.49-0.57% and accumulating distribution policy, playing a key role in thematic investing by capturing the clean water value chain amid a market expected to reach $1,248 billion by 2029.
