About the Company
iShares S&P 500 Financials Sector UCITS ETF is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the performance of the S&P 500 Capped 35/20 Financials Index, comprising U.S. financial sector companies as defined by the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS). This UCITS-compliant ETF, domiciled in Ireland and launched on November 20, 2015, provides European investors with regulated access to large-cap U.S. financial stocks through physical full replication, holding all index constituents in similar proportions. Notable features include an accumulation share class that reinvests dividends, a low ongoing charge of 0.15%, and adherence to strict UCITS diversification rules, such as the 5/10/40 guideline limiting single-issuer exposure. Top holdings, representing about 41% of the portfolio, include Berkshire Hathaway Inc Class B, JPMorgan Chase & Co, Visa Inc Class A, Mastercard Inc Class A, and Bank of America Corp, with over 97% allocated to financial services. With assets under management around 1.85 billion GBP, it plays a key role in offering transparent, liquid exposure to the dynamic U.S. financial industry, including banks, insurers, and payment processors, within a safeguarded framework.
