The iShares iBonds Dec 2026 Term Corporate ETF is an exchange-traded fund designed to track the performance of an index comprising U.S. dollar-denominated, investment-grade corporate bonds maturing between December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2027. Its primary purpose is to provide investors with targeted exposure to this specific maturity segment, enabling income generation, bond ladder construction, and interest rate risk management through a defined end date. The fund holds a diversified portfolio of approximately 607 bonds, with top issuers including JPMorgan Chase & Co., Wells Fargo & Company, and Apple Inc., spanning sectors such as financials, industrials, utilities, capital goods, and energy. Credit quality is predominantly investment-grade, featuring 39.77% BBB-rated, 44.72% A-rated, and smaller allocations to AA and AAA ratings. With a low expense ratio of 0.10% and monthly distributions, it offers an accessible vehicle for fixed-income strategies. As a term fund, it is set to terminate on or about December 31, 2026, liquidating remaining net assets to shareholders, which distinguishes it from perpetual bond ETFs by aligning duration closely with the target maturity.
