About the Company
iShares Securitized Income Active ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund focused on the securitized bond sector. Its primary objective is to seek high total return through investments in a diversified portfolio of securitized assets, including mortgage-backed securities from issuers like Federal National Mortgage Association and Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, as well as asset-backed securities such as GNMA tranches, commercial mortgage-backed securities, and single-family rental bonds. Under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its net assets are allocated to these income-producing fixed income instruments, emphasizing sectors like residential and commercial mortgages. The fund features a competitive expense ratio of 0.40%, with key portfolio characteristics including an effective duration of approximately 4.66 years, a yield to maturity around 5.98%, and over 849 holdings for broad diversification. Managed by BlackRock's Securitized Assets Team, led by co-heads Samir Lakhani and Ibrahim Incoglu, it plays a significant role in providing investors access to structured credit markets, balancing income generation and total return potential within the broader fixed income landscape.
